Riley:  I've decided -- from now on, I'm gonna be dainty as hell.
Moondoggie:  That's weird...Suddenly my dreams smell April Fresh.

Poor poor Scott. How you misread those vile kitteh looks. What Riley's expression is REALLY saying is, "Soon, you pathetic little hoominz. Soon. I contemplates your demise."

I'd go on, but there's a footnote in there about disemboweling me for translating.

Damn, she does actually look dainty for a change, doesn't she?

Riley - the only cat who can make Dainty look so like Damn Dangerous.

Yes, it's a thinly veiled agenda Riley presents. Based, no doubt, on failed expectations in life.

Comment from Anntichrist S. Coulter via email:

She's always seemed quite ladylike to me, but then, I've had my ass kicked by 4-to-6-pound female feral cats more often than anybody I know. At least, I hope so. S.Z. hasn't posted about her awe-inspiring critter-saving efforts in a while, and they can't ALL be "innocent little angels," can they? But no matter how feminine, wily, or delicate that Her Royal Dangerousness may appear, I know that Scott & Mary are NEVER so trusting as to turn their backs on a cat with switchblade talons and the ability to pick a lock... among others...

Can I please come back as Moondoggie in my next life???

And SOON?!??!?!?!

Yes, Teh Empress Riley ruleth over all, but that's a long, stressful job description, and I really could use the R.E.M. sleep state that MD generally seems to exist within... *sigh*

(BTW, speaking of names like "Moondoggie," is it just me, or is it kinda weird that the guy who played "The Big Kahuna" on an episode of "Gidget" {TV, not flix} was also the jaded, cynical blond cop-boy on "ADAM-12"?? Dunno which came first, in real-world chronology, but still. Incongruence at the very least, cognitive dissonance at worst.)
