As you know, our friend Ivan G. Shreve, Jr. is the proprietor of Thrilling Days of Yesterday, the go-to site for any and all manner of cultural ephemera, as long as it involves Aunt Bea. What you may not know is that he also writes the liner notes for Radio Spirits, a company that protects and serves our precious broadcast heritage. Well, apparently the radio ghosts have been pretty pleased with his work, because they've just signed him up for a regular blogging gig, which you can find here, as well as on our blogroll.
Check it out. Unless you already knew Frank Morgan's real name was Wupperman.

whoo-hoo. Father Knows Best is dialing up the Zenith! Is this photo presentation perhaps before Armstrong's superheterodyne tuning so anyone, even a child, could do so? I believe not.
Also, why are the family members displaying so much leg? Is company coming? Does company plan to stay after an evening of Father Coughlin's rants? If there's alcohol served best show them the door after coffee and dessert.
Don't give up hope. Perhaps they're tuning in "Tallu" on the "Big Show" or perhaps Jack Benny. Much safer. Except for Tallulah ... those Meredith Wilson orchestral arrangements & chorus were mindbending.
